特别受尊敬的贵宾 “诗人和文艺复兴人, 大艺术家” 是来自中国的范光陵博士

Our afternoon opened with the Redwood Empire Chinese Association Lion Team from Santa Rosa, CA. This act included pre-teen, teen, parent and grandparents all performing together. Judy Cheung wrote the poem for this opening act.

The RECA Lion Team had live music with their Lion Drummers

Natica Angilly, President of Artists Embassy International and artistic director of the Dancing Poetry Festival, gave us an uplifting short talk on what our purposes were for presenting the Dancing Poetry Festival

Alisha Rodriques, AEI 1st VP, from Tetonia, Idaho, gave additional words of welcome

Richard and Natica Angilly's Poetic Dance Theater Company performed their opening dance, "Wind Music" written and read by Richard Angilly.

Dr. Kenneth Kuanling Fan(Fan Guangling), poet and painter from China, was introduced as our special guest by Artists Embassy International Vice President Alisha Rodrigues. He was also greeted on stage by about 30 dignitaries of poetry of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

After the formal greatings were given by Alisha and Natica, we had a choral reading from Dr. Fan's new book, Copnfucius' Philosophical Thinking/How to Enjoy Life Happily.

Claire J. Baker, Pinole, CA, read "A Preayer for Safe Return"

"Paint Your Life" by Cathy Dana, Alameda, CA, was our first of three grand prize winning poems of equal merit. This performance by R&NAPDTC featured the silk art of Jennifer Bundey, Walt Stevenson, Kit Shepard and Daniell Fogel who were chosen through a contest coordinated by Angar Mora's Salons for Your Imagination, Wow! in San Rafael, CA.

Artists for the silk art used in this performance were Kit Shepard, Danielle Fogel, Jennifer Bundey and Walt Stevenson. Art was chosen from a contest sponsored by Angar Mora's Salons for Your Imagination, WOW!, based in Cafe Arrivederci, San Rafael, CA.
