91．
The great earth makes herself hospitable with the help of the grass.
大地借助于绿草，使自己变得热情好客。
译注
Makes herself：使自己变成，把自己打造成。不是使自己显得。“显得”和“变成”意义有别，前者为虚，后者为实。
感言
大地是皮，绿草是毛，没有大地之皮，绿草之毛将焉附？
The earth is skin; the green grass is hair. Without the skin of the earth, what does the hair of green grass adhere to?
92．
The birth and death of the leaves are the rapid whirls of the eddy whose wider circles move slowly among stars.
叶的生死乃是涡流的急骤旋转，但它更加宽阔的轨道在繁星间却运转迟缓。
译注
Circles星球的经纬圈、运转轨道。
感言
人的生死涡流旋转，有的如短暂的春秋，有的如漫长的冬夏。
As for whirls of the birth-death-eddy of men, some are like short spring and autumn while others are like long summer and winter.
93．
Power said to the world, "You are mine."
The world kept it prisoner on her throne.
Love said to the world, "I am thine."
The world gave it the freedom of her house.
权势对世界说：“你是我的。”
世界便把它囚禁在自己的宝座之下。
爱情对世界说：“我是你的。”
世界便把在屋内的自由给予它。
译注
Thine古英语的物主代词“你的yours”，选用这一用法显然是为押韵。因此译文也应注意押韵。译文虽然韵脚所在之处与原文不同，但毕竟是尽力而为了。
感言
权势是禁锢自己的镣铐，爱情是解放自己的救星。
Power is the shackle to shackle itself while love is the emancipator to emancipate itself.
94．
The mist is like the earth's desire.
It hides the sun for whom she cries.
烟雾仿佛是大地的欲望。
它呼唤太阳，却把太阳匿藏。
译注
翻译时可以根据情况，对原文句式结构等加以适当的改造。以本诗第二句为例，原文后面的定语从句被提前，并变成主句，原来的主句则变成并列句，二者以表示语义或语气转折的“却”字相连。注意，原诗押韵，译文也要尽量做到。
感言
烟雾一手遮天，最终将被劲风驱散。
Smoke shuts out the heavens with one palm, but it will surely be dispersed by strong wind.
95．
Be still, my heart, these great trees are prayers.
安静些，我的心儿，这些大树在祈祷。
译注
后面一句直译是“这些大树都是祈祷者”。但综观全诗两句之间的语言环境和逻辑，似乎后面一句是原因。也就是说，让心儿安静的原因，就是这些大树在祈祷，仿佛是在警告心儿不要出声，以免打扰在祈祷的大树。 如果说因为这些大树都是祈祷者，所以要心儿安静，这样的前因后果关系不如前者更合乎逻辑。因此翻译时要身临其境般地仔细揣摩语言环境，不能死板地按字面翻译。
感言
你在心里为万物祈祷，也是在为你自己祈祷。
You pray in my heart for all things and at the same time I pray for yourself.
96．
The noise of the moment scoffs at the music of the Eternal.
瞬间的噪音，嘲弄永恒的音乐。
译注
Noise喧嚣声、噪声。有译者选用前者，而我选择后者，这是因为前者属中性词，后者属贬义词。音乐是美的，选择贬义词与之对应，反差鲜明，对比度大，因而感情色彩比前者强烈。
感言
刺耳的噪音进化为悦耳的音乐，难；悦耳的音乐退化为刺耳的噪音，易。
It is difficult for noise to evolve itself into sweet music; it is easy for sweet music to degenerate itself into noise.
97．
I think of other ages that floated upon the stream of life and love and death and are forgotten, and I feel the freedom of passing away.
想起浮泛在生死爱恨川流之上的那些被遗忘的许多其他时代，我便感觉到离开尘世的自由了。
译注
文中other ages修饰语太多。other ages that floated upon the stream of life and love and death and are forgotten其实就是other ages that floated upon the stream of life and love and death and that are forgotten, 如果照字面直译就会成为：浮动在生的、爱的、死的溪流的上面的，而且已被遗忘的别的时代，“的”字连篇，令人大倒胃口。一定要设法缩减“的”字。“泛在生死爱恨川流之上的那些被遗忘的许多其他时代”，这样就可以大量删除“的”字，由原来的七个减少到两个。
感言
生死爱恨是检验自由的试金石。
Life and death, love and hatred are touch stones to weigh up freedom.
98．
The sadness of my soul is her bride's veil.
It waits to be lifted in the night.
我灵魂的忧伤是她的婚纱。
只等候在夜间被揭开摘下。
译注
her bride's veil 不要翻译成“她的新娘的面纱”。如果这样翻译，从字面逻辑不通。因为“新娘”只能归男性所有，而“婚纱”则只能归女性所有。to be lifted字面上只是“解除”的意思，即“拿下来”，本没有“揭开”之义，但为了与第一句字数相同，故而在与原句意义无大出入的情况下，采取“增译”法，添加“揭开”。
感言
忧伤是忧伤者的护身符，喜悦是喜悦者的坟墓。
Sorrow is the amulet of the man who is sorrowful; happiness is the tomb of the man who is happy.
99．
Death's stamp gives value to the coin of life; making it possible to buy with life what is truly precious.
死之印记向生之钱币赋以价值，使其能以生命来购买真正的珍宝。
译注
此译的物主代词都用“之”，是为了词语简练，既然这样译，显得比较文气，而后半句也应与之相符，将it译成“其”，而没有译成“它”。这是译文要整体保持风格一致的原则。如果译得通俗些，也就是把前半句的物主代词译成“的”，全句则应译成“死的印记向生的钱币赋以价值，使它能以生命来购买真正的珍宝”。
感言
死亡是衡量生命价值的尺度。
Death is a yardstick of the value of life.
100．
The cloud stood humbly in a corner of the sky. The morning crowned it with splendour.
云儿谦恭地站在天之一隅。晨曦为它披上彩霞。
译注
Splendour美国英语拼法是Splendor，光辉，光彩。译成“彩霞”是“转义”译法。“转义”译法就是“意译”，即将原来意义根据需要加以扩展或转化。
感言
没有寒气袭人的晨曦，烟雾何以变成温馨可人的彩霞？
Without chilly aurora, how could smoke turn itself into pleasant colored clouds?
